To-Do List

Things I’ve seen on blogs/in books/in my imagination and want to make:

  • Throw Pillows; striped, stenciled, crazy pleated, wool, velvet, etc
  • Tote Bags; sailor stripes with rope handles, big bow, stenciled, ticking with ruffles, etc
  • Embroidered state bird quilt from Martha Stewart
  • Faux fur vest
  • Vegetable Ivory bib necklaces, fimo beads and jewelry

Stuff I’ve started but not finished:

  • Finish my gray leather purse started last spring
  • Fix home made yellow leather purse strap and clasp
  • Finish reupholstering settee in green and white stripes
  • Finish last dregs of large sofa reupholstering; coerce Matt into finishing last cushion
  • Finish painting inside surfaces of sideboard macaw yellow, add paper lining

Things that should be bought, fixed, reimagined, or replaced in our house:

  • Fill holes in kitchen pass-through ceiling from first attempt to hang pot rack
  • Resurface dining room table with Art Deco wood and malachite inlay; reupholster dining chairs; cover wooden legs of chairs and table with silver leaf; get new chair leg made for broken chair
Foodie things I’d like to make, and possibly sell:
  • Lahvosh
  • flatbread crackers
  • butter, flavored compound butters

Stuff I’d like to list in my Etsy store:

  • Pink curing salt; package in jars, photograph and list (remember to include brisket and corned beef recipes)
  • Make and list tote bags
  • Vintage items found in thrift/charity shops (go to thrift/charity shops away from hipster towns like Seattle)
  • Flavored salts and oils

Gifts I’d like to make:

  • Stenciled and/or dyed cloth napkin sets
  • Flavored salts
  • Infused oils and liqueurs
  • Reupholster (and refinish chrome base) mid-century swivel chair for Yvonne before she gets back from Rwanda

Stuff I’ve done before, but want to improve upon:

  • Aquavit and infused liqueurs
  • Puget Sound sea salt

Etcetera:

  • Turn random chest of mini-drawers from Mom and Dad’s house into amazing spice cabinet
  • Fix the Moroccan leather ottoman from Mom and Dad’s house, including consolidation of leather red rot, plus possible leather painting
  • Paint ugly brown leather of super-sale Hanna Andersen clogs orange, with Dala Horse-inspired rosemaling (decorative painting)

      =) It is kind of nuts how much I’ve been able to get done. I don’t know how to keep it up, but I’m going to try!
